Gus points this year’s housing campaign in the right direction

If you’ve seen us on social media, stopped by our office or visited our website, you’ve likely met Gus, the Pointe West Pointer. Since he was a puppy (he just turned a year old in September), he’s been our office mascot and cheerleader. He’s a big part of the Pointe West family!

So when it came time to plan our 2020-21 housing campaign, it seemed appropriate to feature Gus, and we already had some inspiration. I’ve always loved this vintage photo of the German Shorthaired Pointer:

Now that we had an idea, we needed an artist to help us put it all together. So, we talked to Blacksburg-based artist Hannah Greene.

Among many other things, Hannah specializes in animal portraits and custom work, so I knew she was the perfect fit. During our brainstorming sessions, we talked about Gus and I told her how much I loved the beach. She took all our ideas and put them together to create the centerpiece of our campaign:

You might have seen it on a T-shirt, frisbee or koozie, or on the sign in front of our office. We love it. It’s a fun way to get our message out!

Gus loves it, too:

So, if you’re still looking for housing for the 2020-21 school year, let us Pointe you in the right direction. Call us, contact us or chat with us to get more information about a property or schedule an appointment.

And be sure to check out Hannah’s work on Instagram: @HANNAH_GREENE_ART. Hannah has been recognized locally and nationally for her work, which includes animals, portraits, landscapes, wedding invitation design, corporate design, apparel logo design, mural work and more.
